Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Mechanical Drafter in Minnesota to design and document low/medium voltage switchgear and E-House systems. You will create 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings for engineered-to-order products, supporting both new designs and production updates.

The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years of drafting experience in industrial settings and is proficient with SolidWorks and BOM creation. Collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and project teams is key.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of drafting or mechanical design in industrial environments.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, 2D/3D drafting, and BOM management.
• Ability to read engineering specs and fabrication requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Produce general arrangement drawings, switchgear layouts, and mounting details.
• Generate BOMs and support updates with engineering changes.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure manufacturability.
• Assist with PLM/document control and revisions.
• Standardize drafting practices and reusable components.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
