Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to create 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks for industrial power equipment and modular enclosures.

The role includes incorporating manufacturing redlines and engineering revisions, supporting switchgear assemblies, skid systems, and related structures, and ensuring drawings are accurate and manufacturable through collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting or related field.
• 2-4+ years drafting or mechanical design experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and BOM revision management.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and fabrication requirements.
• We are unable to support H1-B, TN or STEM OPT candidates at this time.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Produce engineering documentation including general arrangement drawings and layouts.
• Support development and modification of switchgear designs and modular enclosures.
• Incorporate engineering updates, manufacturing redlines, and production feedback into released drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are accurate and manufacturable.
• Assist with drawing revisions and document updates within the PLM system.
• Support standardization of drafting practices, templates, and reusable design components.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company drafting standards.
