Job summary

Dakota Bodies LLC in California seeks a Design Engineer/Designer to create product drawings, models, BOMs, and calculations in SolidWorks under engineering guidance and standards. You will produce accurate drawings and participate in engineering change processes.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of SolidWorks experience, GD&T/weld call outs knowledge, strong math skills, and attention to detail. Collaboration with a team and proficiency in MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient 2D drawing and 3D modeling using SolidWorks.
• SolidWorks certification and 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T and weld call outs is desirable.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication to organize problem solving and translate into engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Create new product drawings/models and perform necessary calculations.
• Update drawings and calculations for product modifications.
• Generate and track Engineering Change Requests and New Product Requests.
• Apply basic engineering principles in design of new or modified products.
• Review regulatory artwork for production and manufacturing; ensure compliance.
