ghgcorp is seeking an experienced SolidWorks Drafter/Mechanical Designer for a large-scale project in Houston, TX. The role focuses on converting SolidWorks 3D models into production-ready 2D drawings, applying ASME and GD&T standards, and preparing mechanical, electrical, and softgoods drawings.

We are seekingexperienced Drafters / Mechanical Designers to support a large-scale engineering project converting existing SolidWorks 3D models into production-ready 2D drawings.
Successful candidates will have hands-on experience creating detailed engineering drawings from 3D CAD models and a strong understanding of ASME drafting and drawing standards. Drawing assignments may include mechanical, electrical, and softgoods components.
This is an approximately 6-month contract assignment, with an immediate start preferred. At this time, the project is not expected to extend beyond six months.
Houston, TX – Preferred
Candidates located in the Houston area will be expected to work onsite at the customer facility.
Remote candidates may be considered. Remote employees will be provided with an Axiom-issued computer/equipment for the duration of the assignment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced CAD drafter who can quickly take an existing SolidWorks 3D model and produce a complete, accurate 2D engineering drawing with minimal direction. Candidates should be comfortable working within established drafting standards and producing a high volume of quality drawings on a defined project timeline.
