Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products is seeking an Engineering Design Intern to support the product development team by creating and maintaining part drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. This part-time internship (15-20 hours/week) offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing and product development environment.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Design, proficiency in SolidWorks, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
Previous coursework or projects in product design or manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part drawings in SolidWorks.
Develop and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and revision records.
Assist with product development, design improvements, and engineering change initiatives.
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional team members on new product and enhancement projects.
Ensure design files and documentation are accurate, organized, and compliant with standards.
Support project timelines by managing multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
