Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products is seeking an Engineering Design Intern to support our product development team by creating and maintaining part drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks. This onsite, part‑time role offers hands‑on experience in manufacturing and product development while working with a cross‑functional engineering group.

You will develop technical drawings, update design documentation, and contribute to design changes and product improvements in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Previous coursework or project experience in product design or manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part drawings in SolidWorks.
• Develop and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and revision records.
• Assist with product development, design improvements, and engineering change initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional team members to support new product and product enhancement projects.
• Ensure design files and documentation are accurate, organized, and compliant with company standards.
• Support project timelines by managing multiple assignments and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
