Job summary

Vertiv offers a Mechanical Engineering Intern role supporting design, documentation, and continuous improvement of custom busbar systems for critical power infrastructure. You will work with engineers, manufacturing, and project teams in an engineered-to-order environment to gain hands‑on experience in CAD, PLM, BOMs, and process improvement.

Because this is an internship, you will participate in design reviews, create documentation, and deliver a final project with measurable business impact,

Qualifications

• Sophomore year or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Basic engineering fundamentals: statics, mechanics of materials, manufacturing processes, machine design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem solving, good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and modifying 3D models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Support engineering change requests and drawing revisions.
• Help maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and document control.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues.
