Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced SolidWorks 3D CAD Designer to support product development from concept through prototype and production in a U.S.-based manufacturing setting.

You will create 3D models and assemblies, convert sketches into production-ready CAD files, and generate precise 2D drawings with tolerances for manufacturing. Collaboration with engineers and vendors will drive design for manufacturability and timely prototyping.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating parts and assemblies, technical drawings, exploded views (a plus).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Convert hand sketches, concepts, or existing samples into production-ready CAD files.
• Generate 2D drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, and notes.
• Design for manufacturability (CNC, injection molding, stamping, textile hardware, etc.).
• Revise designs based on testing, feedback, and engineering changes.
• Prepare files for prototyping and vendor production.
