Job summary

City of St. Peters is seeking a motivated refuse truck driver with experience in ASL, Rear-Load, Front-Load, and Roll-Off trucks. The starting pay range is $28.46-30.19 per hour based on experience, with growth through a market-based pay plan.

The role offers new trucks, Routeware-equipped routes, automated collections, and extensive benefits. Typical schedule varies Mon-Sat, with shifts from 6am-2pm or 4pm and some weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with air brakes valid in Missouri, or obtain within 120 days of employment.
• Commercial Driver's Instruction Permit (CDIP) within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs frequently and over 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Collect and handle solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
• Service, clean, and repair collection equipment; report maintenance needs.
• Deliver, assemble, and repair solid waste containers.
• Assist training of coworkers in safe equipment use.
