Job summary

City of Paducah in Kentucky seeks a proficient truck driver to operate solid waste trucks, dump trucks, snowplows, and salt boxes on assigned routes. You will collect and transport solid waste and recycling materials, inspect vehicles, and document usage while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL during probation; prior heavy equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual labor tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with CDL requirement pending during probation.
• Must demonstrate ability to safely drive trucks and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate trucks including solid waste, dump trucks, snowplows, and salt boxes.
• Collect and transport solid waste and recycling materials.
• Inspect vehicles and report mechanical issues; perform routine maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
