Job summary

Snohomish County is seeking a Site Attendant I to support solid waste transfer stations and drop-off facilities. This entry-level role trains toward Site Attendant II/III and emphasizes customer service, fee processing, and safe operation of light equipment.

Work is day shift and includes weekends/holidays. A valid WA driver’s license is required, with post-offer drug screen and background check. Training and certifications are provided within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; pass job related tests.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License required.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR within six months of employment.
• Complete eight hour Hazardous Waste training with certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to Solid Waste customers.
• Process transactions for solid waste fees.
• Operate light equipment such as backhoe and forklift.
• Record weights/volumes for materials delivered to sites.
• Direct vehicles to disposal and recycling areas.
• Perform site maintenance and assist with safety rules.
