Job summary

HDR is seeking a Solid Waste Project Manager to lead and deliver solid waste and recycling projects in New England. The role blends project management leadership with business development and client engagement to grow HDR's solid waste practice in the region.

Travel to Northeast sites will be required as part of project delivery. The successful candidate will oversee facility design and operations, planning, costing, and QA/QC, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required.
Minimum 7 years related experience in solid waste.
Minimum 2 years project management experience.
Strong client relationship management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Function as project manager or technical lead on solid waste projects.
Establish client relations and coordinate marketing, design and production activities.
Coordinate staffing and workload allocations across project phases.
Complete deliverables and milestones on schedule.
Provide contract management support and QA/QC compliance.
Mentor junior staff and support regional market growth.
