Job summary

Columbia County Solid Waste in Georgia is seeking a full-time supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the waste transfer station and garbage collection routes. The role requires knowledge of transfer station operations, safety practices, and the ability to operate and supervise loaders and trucks.

Education can be a two-year degree with two years supervisory experience or a high school diploma with extensive waste management experience. Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL license.

Full time position with Columbia County Solid Waste. Knowledge of transfer station operations and garbage and recycling collection. Supervising day to day operations of the waste transfer station and the garbage collection routes. Responsible for the proper maintenance of all trucks and machinery used at the Facility. Knowledge of safety practices. Basic knowledge of computers and ability to operate scale program. Education: Preferably a minimum of a two-year degree and two years supervisory experience in waste and recycling programs OR High School diploma with extensive experience related to waste management and recycling programs. Ability to operate and supervise the use of a loader and garbage and recycling trucks. Ability to obtain a Class B CDL license.

Hire Rate: $31.755 per hour.
