Job summary

Lee County Government seeks a dependable Solid Waste Crew Supervisor to lead daily operations for the tractor-trailer transfer fleet, roll-off trucks, and related equipment. The role requires a hands-on leader who communicates well, motivates staff, and can operate equipment as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and two years of heavy equipment experience; a Florida Class A CDL with Airbrake and Tanker Endorsements is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience operating heavy equipment, tractor-trailer, preferably in Solid Waste or construction debris.
• Valid Florida Class A CDL with Airbrake and Tanker Endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and assign work for Solid Waste crews.
• Ensure equipment and materials are available for safe, timely completion.
• Respond to inquiries and complaints from customers and other departments.
• Enforce safety regulations and policies across staff and operations.
• Supervise and develop direct reports; provide coaching and training.
