Job summary

Piping Rock Health Products, INC is seeking a Solid Dose Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, repair and installation of high-volume automated processing equipment. You will follow SOPs and cGMPs to ensure product quality and production output.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting encapsulation and tablet presses, reading blueprints and job orders, and performing preventive maintenance per schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• 3+ years experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical and operational domains.
• Experience with encapsulation machines, tablet presses, and powder blending equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC-based equipment (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Understand operation, setup, startup, troubleshoot, and repair solid dose equipment (blenders, tablet presses, encapsulation).
• Follow job orders, drawings, and work orders; inspect and perform preventative maintenance.
• Install/commission new machinery and modify existing equipment.
• Make mechanical adjustments to optimize production and reduce downtime.
• Document interventions, parts used, and maintenance history.
• Provide guidance to operators on equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow safety procedures and keep areas audit-ready.
• Other duties as assigned.
