Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Able to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Experience in GMP/pharma environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on packaging and blending equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Repair and rebuild equipment components to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assess machinery performance and identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and tools.
  • Support manufacturing with equipment changeovers.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks on production and facility equipment to support efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of critical components.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, FDA, and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and manufacturing initiatives as needed.

Safetec of America, Inc. has been a trusted source of infection control, first-aid, and compliance products for over 30 years. We are a local, family-owned, OTC pharmaceutical manufacturing company with a reputation for retaining employees because we treat them like family. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the performance and reliability of our production and facility equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, ensuring safety and compliance, and keeping our operations running smoothly.

Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
