Aerotek in Pottstown, PA is seeking a Soldering and Assembly Technician for 1st shift. You will perform thru-hole soldering on PCBs, assemble products with hand and power tools, and test subassemblies and final assemblies.

Ideal candidates have 2-3+ years in electronics assembly, strong soldering skills, and ability to read blueprints and schematics. This contract-to-hire role offers onsite work with a $24.00-$27.00/hr pay range.

Qualifications

• Strong thru-hole soldering experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Basic computer operations.
• Understanding of J-STD, schematics, lean manufacturing, and PCB assembly.

Job Title: Soldering and Assembly Technician

Pay: $24-$27 (DOE)

Hours: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Job Description

As a Soldering Technician, you will be responsible for thru-hole soldering on printed circuit boards, assembling and building poroducts using small hand and/or power tools, and testing and troubleshooting subassemblies and final assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform thru-hole soldering on printed circuit boards.

• Assemble and build products using small hand and/or power tools.

• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.

• Utilize expertise in soldering, blueprints, and assembly.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.

• Strong thru-hole soldering experience.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools.

• Good manual dexterity.

• Basic computer operation skills.

• Understanding of J Standard, schematic, lean manufacturing, and PCB assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• J-STD Solder Certification is preferred.

• Experience in PCB assembly is a plus.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies is desired.

• Ability to read schematics is desired.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
