Spectra Defense Technologies is seeking a Solder Technician to perform soldering, crimping and wire prep in the assembly of cable assemblies to drawing and IPC standards. You will meet production and quality requirements, follow safety procedures, and support other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires 3–5 years of cable assembly or soldering experience, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 Class 3.
High school or equivalent
Soldering: 3 years (Preferred)
IPC-A-610, and IPC-J-STD-001, Class 3
Completion of US Navy or US Air Force electronics technician training is a plus.
The essential duties for the Solder Technician role are to perform tasks associated with soldering uses heated metal to join the cable to the connector, and the manufacturing of cable assemblies to assembly procedures and product specifications which include:
Soldering
Crimping
Wire prep (cutting and stripping)
Potting
Meet production and quality standards for accuracy.
Commitment to Safety and following established workplace procedures.
Other tasks as assigned.
