Job summary

PVH - PVHardware in Houston, TX seeks a Structural Engineering Manager to design, analyze, and optimize tracker structures for extreme environmental and operational conditions, ensuring stability and durability of solar tracking solutions. You will lead the structural team, perform FE analyses, validate against codes, and collaborate with design and manufacturing to ensure reliable field performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in leadership roles in solar tracking structures, experience with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related; Master's preferred.
5+ years in a structural/engineering leadership role.
Experience in solar tracking structures and calculations.
Experience with finite element tools (ANSYS,Abaqus,Consteel).
Familiarity with Eurocode and ASCE standards.
Basic AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and simulations of tracker structures under wind and load conditions.
Lead design optimization to reduce material usage and cost while improving performance.
Conduct structural calculations and validations to meet international standards.
Collaborate with design and production teams to implement structural designs in manufacturing.
Select and evaluate materials for strength, durability, and cost.
Generate and manage technical documentation and certifications.
