Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Solar Technician for outdoor, on-site contract work to install and maintain solar systems on rooftops and large sites. You will perform site assessments, wire and mount equipment, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or a similar trade.
Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn.
Strict safety awareness and ability to identify equipment failure.
Comfort with ladders, harness, and working at height.
Willing to travel to customer sites.
Reliable with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring per site plans.
Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to locate faults.
Clean panels and perform scheduled maintenance.
Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
Record visits with photos, readings, and repair notes.
Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
