Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking a Solar Technician, Level 1 (S1) to support routine maintenance of solar panels, inverters, racking and tracking systems at our projects across the United States. The role requires safe work practices, use of PPE, and adherence to company policies.

You will document activities in the CMMS, assist in safety compliance, and participate in on-the-job training to advance along the solar technician career path.

Qualifications

• Experience following safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Familiarity with maintenance tasks on solar assets is a plus.
• Ability to log and track work in a maintenance system.

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Basic maintenance on solar panels, inverters, racking, and tracking systems.
• Work Order Management: Record maintenance in CMMS, create/update/close orders.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and use PPE and lockout/tagout as required.
• Reporting: Document maintenance issues, solutions, and recommendations.
• Learning & Development: Participate in on-the-job training to advance to higher levels.
• Equipment Handling: Manage tools and materials and ensure proper storage.
• Team Collaboration: Work with higher-level techs and Site Lead to complete tasks.
• Physical Work: Lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs; work in varied weather.
