Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking a Solar Technician, Level 1 (S1) to support routine maintenance of solar panels, inverters, racking and tracking systems at our projects across the United States. The role requires safe work practices, use of PPE, and adherence to company policies.

You will document activities in the CMMS, assist in safety compliance, and participate in on-the-job training to advance along the solar technician career path.

Competenze

• Experience following safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Familiarity with maintenance tasks on solar assets is a plus.
• Ability to log and track work in a maintenance system.

Job Responsibilities:

Solar Technician, Level 1 (S1)

• Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on solar panels, inverters, racking, and tracking systems under supervision. Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Work Order Management: Accurately record all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work order creation, updates, and closure.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices to minimize risks.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on maintenance activities, including documenting issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future work.
• Learning & Development: Engage in on-the-job training to develop technical skills and knowledge in solar plant operations. Participate in company-provided training programs to advance to higher levels within the solar technician career path.
• Equipment Handling: Assist in handling and organizing tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with higher-level technicians and the Site Lead to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Follow instructions and seek guidance when needed to ensure safe and accurate execution of work.
• Physical Work: Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 50 lbs. Work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
