Job summary

Invenergy LLC’s Hardin Solar Energy Center in Ohio is seeking a Solar Technician to operate and maintain a solar-powered facility south of Alger. The role supports troubleshooting and routine maintenance of inverters, trackers, and substations, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The position requires 7:00am–3:30pm M-F (40 hours) with overtime and possible night shifts. Travel up to 30% and outdoor work are expected. A valid driver’s license and US work eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of technical experience (electrical, etc.) or related education.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to climb / work safely from a portable ladder.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on all site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Conduct vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems including inverters and trackers.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of site components.
• Daily site maintenance with safety gear to inspect, repair, and maintain equipment.
