Zusammenfassung

MaxSolar is seeking a Field Technician to troubleshoot and repair solar PV and battery storage systems on commercial sites in the Chicago area. You will perform preventive maintenance, QA/QC inspections, and system commissioning while following safety and industry standards.

The role requires an associate degree or technical cert, electrician license preferred, NABCEP certification a plus, and the ability to work independently on live electrical tasks with basic monitoring software and field

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in engineering or equivalent technical training.
• Licensed Electrician; NABCEP certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• 1 year experience with commercial battery storage systems preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with CMMS and mobile reporting tools.
• OSHA safety standards knowledge (OSHA 30 preferred).

Aufgaben

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks on solar equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and address electrical and mechanical issues.
• Conduct electrical testing, measurements, and diagnostics.
• Review performance data from monitoring platforms to identify trends.
• Document all field activities and maintenance actions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
• Assist with QA/QC activities and commissioning of new installations.
• Manage preventive maintenance tasks and field deliverables.
• Work on systems up to 600 VAC and 1000 VDC; perform LOTO procedures.
