Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Project Development Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Bedminster, NJ. You will support early‑stage engineering and project development activities for utility‑scale solar and battery energy storage, partnering with experienced engineers and cross‑functional teams.

The role offers hands‑on design support, technical evaluations, and proposal development, with exposure to tools like PVSyst, AutoCAD, PVFARM, and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree or alternative program in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related STEM.
• Eligible for full‑time employment on or before Summer 2028.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support early‑stage engineering activities for solar and BESS projects.
• Assist in developing preliminary PV and BESS system designs with senior engineers.
• Help prepare technical documentation such as site layouts, one‑line diagrams, and energy models.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, and Operations teams.
• Support Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and RFIs.
• Identify and communicate technical risks and opportunities.
• Gain exposure to industry tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, PVFARM, and ArcGIS.
• Participate in site visits, project meetings, and team discussions as needed.
