Job summary

ACT Power Services seeks a Portfolio Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison for our O&M fleet, ranging from 500 kW to 200+ MW. You will lead performance analyses, coordinate with site managers, and deliver reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and presenting optimization recommendations, with office work and periodic site visits to support diverse solar and storage facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in engineering, technology, or physics (Associate with training may count).
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, or operating in a power generation or industrial facility.
• Programming experience in VBA, Python, or equivalent.
• Electrical maintenance experience including PV, DC/AC, and networking/monitoring.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Able to maintain unescorted access to NERC facilities.
• Office-based with occasional site visits.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance analysis of solar/storage projects via remote DAS/SCADA.
• Serve as central point of contact for plant managers, operators, utilities, and clients.
• Prepare site performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead client calls and act as client interface for technical issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend performance improvements.
• Develop procedures/tools for efficient operation of diverse solar/storage fleet.
• Create tools/processes to improve organizational performance.
