Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Portfolio Engineer to support performance analysis for solar and storage projects. You will act as a technical liaison, coordinating with plant managers, field operators, utilities, and clients to optimize performance and scheduling.

The role requires a broad skill set—from remote performance analysis to site visits and client presentations—with emphasis on troubleshooting, PV technology, and SCADA familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering, technology, or physics.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and/or operation in power generation facilities.
• Experience with VBA, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience with PV technology, DC/AC systems, and network monitoring.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Employees must be able to maintain unescorted access to NERC regulated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Performance analysis of solar and/or storage projects through remote DAS and SCADA systems.
• Provide a central point of contact and support for plant managers, field operators, utilities, and external clients regarding performance, control, and maintenance schedules.
• Site performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead client calls and serve as client interface for technical issues.
• Root cause analysis and performance improvement recommendations of underperforming systems.
• Develop procedures and tools necessary for the efficient operation of a diverse fleet of solar and storage facilities.
• Develop tools and process to optimize organizational performance.
