Job summary

Arevon is recruiting for the position of Development Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ. This role advances site engineering from early development through contracting, ensuring solar and battery storage projects are optimized for performance, cost, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 3+ years in solar engineering with BESS exposure preferred.
• Experience with PV/BESS project design and optimization.
• Familiarity with GIS/CAD tools and cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects within Development Engineering portfolio and coordinate with manager.
• Coordinate site studies and permits with external consultants.
• Interpret geotechnical data to inform foundations and cost impacts.
• Support technical diligence for greenfield and M&A assets.
• Develop preliminary site designs using GIS/CAD to optimize energy output.
• Collaborate to refine designs, estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Communicate project status and milestones to leadership.
• Engage with internal teams and external partners throughout development.
