Job summary

Sargent Electric Company seeks a Site Safety Manager for a Canistota, SD project. You will lead the site safety program, deliver training, ensure OSHA/NFPA 70E compliance, and provide guidance to project leadership. This temporary role involves travel to multiple jobsites with per diem and a company vehicle.

We expect at least 2 years in construction safety, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse teams. A valid driver's license and successful screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience in electrical contracting or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and NFPA 70E.
• Ability to work independently with project leadership and field personnel.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide general safety training to all personnel and maintain training records.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Department of Labor, and local requirements.
• Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses and mitigation strategies.
• Lead toolbox talks and new hire orientation.
• Collaborate with safety professionals and regional management.
• Coach site leadership to improve safety behaviors.
