Role & responsibilities
Role of an Assistant Engineer Civil for our utility-scale solar power plant project is primarily site-based, focusing on the supervision, quality control, and coordination of all civil construction activities under the guidance of a senior engineer or project manager. Their work ensures that the civil infrastructure is built according to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Preferred candidate profile
A Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university is the fundamental requirement.
Prior experience in the construction of ground-mounted solar projects (MW scale) or other renewable energy infrastructure (like wind power projects) is necessary.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D for reviewing and validating design drawings.
Knowledge of foundation design (especially for solar module mounting structures and inverters/transformers), road works, and drainage systems.
Essential Soft Skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and, in some cases, provide technical guidance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and management.
