Job summary

Venture Home in Portland, ME is seeking a Retail Sales Representative to educate homeowners about solar energy inside a Lowe’s store and schedule in-home consultations with our Energy Consultants. You will engage customers, qualify leads, and guide them to the next step in the sales process.

The role offers uncapped commission with on-target earnings and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a growing residential energy company.

Qualifications

• Comfortable starting conversations with new people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
• Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, lead generation, marketing, or hospitality is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Engage homeowners in friendly, informative conversations about solar energy and home energy savings.
• Qualify homeowners based on basic solar eligibility criteria.
• Educate customers on the financial and environmental benefits of going solar.
• Schedule qualified homeowners for complimentary in-home consultations with a Venture Home Energy Consultant.
