Job summary

Venture Home is seeking a Solar Sales Consultant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you do not generate leads; instead, you meet with homeowners at scheduled appointments to close solar sales. A reliable vehicle and valid license are required.

You will be part of a vibrant company culture with numerous benefits including health insurance and a 401k match program. The compensation package includes a base salary and uncapped commission with on-target earnings of $100,000 to $250,000.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience is required for this position.
• Previous experience in outside sales or in-home sales is preferred.
• Experience in the solar industry is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to provide education about solar.
• Close sales using qualified appointments set by the company.
• Educate customers on financial aspects of solar projects.

About the Role

A Solar Sales Consultant is NOT a lead generation role where you will be asked to knock on doors or cold call. We are seeking experienced sales representatives that are closers with a track record of success in sales and are looking for the right environment to be successful. A RELIABLE VEHICLE AND A LICENSE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION. Our appointment setting teams will schedule qualified appointments on your calendar for you to meet with the homeowner(s) and close with the best combination of products, services, and track record in the industry. We view the sales process in solar to be educational and we realize that it is an emotional decision for people to make the switch, so we focus on making sure that our customers understand not just how solar works, but also where the money is coming from to help pay for their project so that it doesn't seem 'too good to be true'.
