Job summary

Better Earth Inc. is seeking a Solar Roof Lead to own the roofing and mounting phase of residential solar installations in California. You will lead roof prep, penetrations, flashing, and mounting systems while guiding a crew to maintain high quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on solar installation experience, knowledge of various roofing types, and the ability to direct installers on roof work. Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

Previous solar installation experience required.
Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on rooftops for extended periods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead roofing and mounting phase of residential solar installations on job sites.
Oversee roof penetrations, flashing, waterproofing, and sealing.
Install rails and mounting systems on various roof types.
Coordinate with crew leads and electricians for workflow.
Train junior installers on roofing techniques and safety procedures.
Manage on-site roofing materials, tools, and reporting.
