Job summary

Better Earth Inc. is seeking a Solar Roof Lead to own the roofing and mounting phase of residential solar installs in Cerritos. You will direct roof prep, penetrations, flashing, and mounting to ensure top quality, with hands-on installation experience and leadership of junior crew members.

The role requires OSHA-related safety compliance, attention to detail, and strong communication to coordinate with electricians and crew leads on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar installations is required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and climb ladders.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license.
• Comfort working on rooftops in varied weather conditions.
• Familiarity with different roofing types and flashing.

Responsibilities

• Lead roofing and mounting phase of residential solar installations.
• Perform and oversee roof penetrations, flashing, waterproofing and sealant application.
• Install and align rail-based or rail-less mounting systems.
• Conduct roof condition assessments and report concerns.
• Train and mentor junior installers on roofing techniques and safety.
• Maintain on-site safety and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
• Complete daily reports and quality inspections.
