Job summary

ACT Power Services in Morrisville, NC, seeks a Special Projects Manager to oversee complex PV maintenance projects, coordinating subcontractors and internal resources. The role blends field work with the main office, requiring travel across the United States to support projects and maintain schedules.

You will manage the project life cycle, provide planning, budgeting, and reporting, and collaborate with Field Service Managers and clients to deliver timely, within-budget solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in PV maintenance, project management, or electrical engineering preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or related fields preferred.
• Electrical Engineering background or technical background preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee subcontractor performance and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting drawing sets.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to Special Projects requests as assigned.
• Manage projects through the project life cycle from initiation to final completion.
• Provide planning, quotation, budget, schedule, contractor coordination, administration, oversight, and tracking for accepted Special Projects.
• Provide regular updates to Special Project stakeholders including weekly meetings with Field Service Managers and clients.
• Track and document progress in work orders for transparent and effective communication.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Manage multiple projects with a range of different clients and project sizes.
