SGI in Manassas, VA is seeking a full-time Project Manager to support renewable energy and electrical construction projects. You will coordinate with Construction Managers and SGI’s Operations Team to lead preconstruction, document control, reporting, and project tracking toward milestones.

The role requires experience in project schedules, costs, field operations, and reading SLDs/drawings. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering is preferred, with 1–3+ years in

Qualifications

• Solar construction knowledge including civil site work, racking/tracker systems, DC electrical work, and MV/AC collection systems.
• Ability to track RFIs, submittals, BOMs, daily production logs, change orders, and other project documentation using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, NEC requirements for solar/energy storage (Article 690 & 705), and jobsite environmental compliance.
• Strong organizational skills to track equipment, materials, deliveries, long-lead items, and project schedules.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, field crews, electrical subcontractors, utility reps, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams, electrical site plans, trenching schedules, and construction drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 1–3+ years of experience in solar, commercial electrical, power generation, construction, or related field.

Responsabilités

• Manage document control in VISTA/ProjectSight, including submittals, RFIs, daily log uploads with PM and CM input.
• Oversee project reports, scopes of work and change orders with input from CMs.
• Maintain organized project files and logs across Procore, SharePoint, and internal systems.
• Lead project preconstruction efforts and project budgets.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support project execution and assist with project scheduling.
• Participate in site visits to gain field exposure and project familiarity.
• Support compliance-related documentation and permitting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls, reporting, and documentation processes.
