You will drive scheduling, budgeting, client communications, and subcontractor coordination. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in solar or related fields, a relevant engineering or construction degree, and strong Excel/BIM tool proficiency.

Independent and autonomous management of solar construction projects of various sizes and complexities from pre-construction to project closeout using company processes and procedures resulting in meeting or exceeding planned profits
Understanding Project Management process and tools including: project scheduling, financial reporting and budget management, project communications plan, contracts, BIM tools, and other project related processes
Manage all financial aspect of projects
Listening to client and subcontractor concerns, identify issues and react accordingly
Provide conceptual information to groups to illustrate ideas and concepts
Facilitate and lead productive/effective meetings
Preparation of project baseline schedules and schedule updates through the life of the project; using actual versus baseline to substantiate delays and impacts as appropriate
Project financial budget vs. actuals tracking, management, and mitigation
Field productivity tracking estimate vs. actual, and course correction to protect labor budget and project profit
Project safety ownership including weekly audits and incident investigation and reporting; positive contributor to company safety culture
Identification of project impacts and delays, timely notifications per the contract documents, and detailed documentation preparation to prepare and submit claims
Problem solving, understand the root cause of problems, develop solutions, and follow through implementation
Comprehend complex concepts of a project and manage for success
Overnight travel 3-4 days per week throughout the Midwest
5+ years' experience in the Solar Industry.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable equivalent training/experience preferred, Geotechnical experience is a plus.
Robust knowledge of installation of all electrical systems, specifically PV / DC systems
Estimating takeoff capabilities
Microsoft Office Suite proficient, Excel expert
Effective and professional communication, oral and written
Effective problem-solving with the ability to make time sensitive decisions in complex situations
Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented
Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
