Solar Construction Coordinator - Residential

We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented Construction Coordinator to support residential solar projects. This role involves representing the OC Solar brand and ensuring top-tier quality and craftsmanship. Candidates should have experience in solar construction or engineering, with an emphasis on solar PV design.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate scheduling and inspections of ongoing solar construction projects.
  • Collaborate with field personnel, foremen, and related workers to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Manage 50-75 construction projects in the pipeline through effective communication and organization.
  • Understand local building codes and jurisdiction requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers to create code-compliant solar and storage submittal plans.
  • Oversee new construction, general contracting, and retrofit projects.
  • Ensure projects run smoothly, meet quality standards, and achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Read and interpret building plans at various stages of completion.
  • Participate in client meetings regarding construction progress and coordinate solar needs with relevant trades.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in solar or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of PV electrical systems, stringing, gear sizing, and single-line diagrams.
  • Knowledge of PV layout and design, including module placement, flush mount, dual tilt flat roof, ground mount, and carport systems.
  • Understanding of the new construction process.
  • Ability to communicate project timelines and requirements effectively to architects and contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit.
  • Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Job Details:

Type: Full-time

Salary: $52,000 - $65,000 per year DOE

Additional Requirements:
