Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables is seeking an Associate, Project Engineer to join our growing solar development team in the United States. You will contribute to utility-scale PV plant designs, coordinate with land development, and help translate site data into viable layouts.

The role requires hands-on AutoCAD drafting, PVsyst knowledge, and the ability to interpret mapping data. You will collaborate with engineers across development and contribute to a fast-paced project pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a related engineering or technical field.
  • 1+ years of experience in professional engineering or construction environments.
  • Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Fundamental knowledge of PVsyst.
  • Ability to interpret USGS, FEMA or topographic maps.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Implement drawing plot templates and generate shape files to maintain PV system design standards.
  • Execute PV Layouts in AutoCAD for development-phase projects.
  • Utilize GIS AutoCAD plugin and AutoCAD Civil 3D surface files to identify buildable terrain.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure consistency in preliminary PV layouts.
  • Modify plans as site constraints evolve during development.
  • Review early-stage designs with civil engineers.
  • Prepare PVsyst energy production reports aligned with design assumptions.
  • Participate in interconnection study reviews and incorporate utility feedback.
  • Develop specialty knowledge to support the team.
