Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Project Engineer to support design and engineering activities on solar tracking projects. You will work onsite in Fremont, CA, coordinating with global teams to develop construction plan sets, review inputs, and drive efficient solutions for utility-scale PV installations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, or related, preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support to develop tracker layouts, CAD blocks, mechanical sets, and full construction plan sets.
• Review site information, design inputs, and select appropriate product types based on site conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers in India and other regions on new product configurations and drafting standards.
• Conduct value engineering exercises to lower project costs.
• Coordinate with Designers in other regions to update product standards and design changes.
• Learn topography and hydrology analysis to determine tracker placement.
• Prioritize tasks to support internal and external customers.
