Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing on a fixed 12-hour shift (4-3-3-4).

You will lead operators and technicians, drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals, and coach teams for continuous improvement. The role partners with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, execute production schedules, and implement new processes and equipment while maintaining strong employee engagement and adherence to ISO/AS9100

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2+ years in manufacturing operations; 3+ years leadership in production.
• Data analysis skills to interpret data for decisions; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
• Coach, direct, evaluate, and accountability for production employees.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
• Drive production schedules and adapt to equipment conditions and priorities.
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
• Lead or participate in plant change management and training.
