Job summary

Geronimo Power operates a 250 MW Portage Solar facility near Plover, WI. The Solar Plant Manager will provide onsite leadership for safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation, directing a high-performing Field Technician team and overseeing budget, outages, and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Regional Director, Field Operations and requires deep knowledge of electrical systems, CMMS, and proactive maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or power-industry training or equivalent.
• At least five years in renewable or power-generation development, design, permitting, construction, operations, or maintenance; solar preferred.
• Two+ years leading a direct team with cross-functional collaboration.
• Working knowledge of electrical facility operations and maintenance incl. LV/MV systems and schematics.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations to maximize plant availability and reliability while maintaining safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Direct and supervise operations personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with EHS programs, analyses, audits, and incident assessments.
• Coordinate with EHS, Engineering, Asset Management, and other stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, outages, repairs, and warranty activities.
• Maintain CMMS records and ensure documentation is complete and timely.
