Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Industries company, seeks a Commissioning Technician to support solar plant commissioning and testing across multiple sites. You will perform substation equipment testing, assist the SCADA team, and ensure accurate documentation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years testing and servicing electrical distribution systems.
• Trade school completion can substitute for part of the experience.
• Experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and testing of substation and interconnect equipment.
• Support SCADA team with system integration and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and LOTO documentation.
• Lead or assist in startup and energization of electrical systems.
• Train subcontractors and vendors on safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot field issues and develop procedures.
• Participate in progress meetings and maintain project documentation.
• Manage small projects and lead field service teams on larger efforts.
• Deliver timely service reports and communicate performance insights.
