Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Technician I to operate specific manufacturing equipment and manage materials to produce photovoltaic solar modules. You will conduct preventative maintenance, respond to intermediate alarms, and perform basic quality checks while collaborating with team members in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred technical certification or Associate degree and 1+ year manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or certificate in a technical discipline preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience required.
• Military, warehousing, textile, agriculture, or material inspection can substitute manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain housekeeping.
• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment to meet quality/productivity targets.
• Complete required training within the timeframe.
• Provide on-the-job training to teammates when requested.
• Operate equipment with hand tools/instrumentation and monitor process parameters.
• Interface with equipment computers to monitor alarms and data.
• Escalate issues with clear communication and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for problem solving and testing.
• Maintain inventory and waste disposal for shift readiness.
