Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Mechanic to perform all functions needed for an onsite mechanic and maintenance of all heavy equipment and general equipment.

The role involves maintaining shop equipment, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring operations run smoothly while building relationships across diverse teams. A valid driver's license is required, ASE certification is preferred, and lifting up to 50 lbs may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Current driver's license.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs; lifting over 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to ensure tested and repaired equipment meet performance specifications
• Troubleshoot breakdowns of equipment to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
• Follow given operating instructions to maintain shop equipment operations
• Maintain supplies
• Call for repairs
• Perform regular preventive maintenance
• Complete and file all appropriate reports and paperwork
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience
• Basic computer knowledge/skill
• Current driver's license
• ASE Certified preferred
• Strong teamwork orientation; detail orientation; strong organizational skills
