Job summary

Bechtel Construction Services seeks a field worker to prepare, handle and supply materials for PV crews. The role includes PV panel installation on single-axis trackers, pile layout, conduit work and above-ground cable management.

The worker will assist with general tasks, cleanup and comply with safety rules, while performing duties assigned by supervisors. The position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and effective communication with team members to complete tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Prepare, handle and supply materials to be used by other crafts
• Solar PV panel installation on a single-axis tracker assembly
• Single-axis tracker assembly
• Pile layout and installation
• Underground conduit and cable installation
• Installation of pre-connectorized DC cabling systems in above-ground cable management system
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, and all other duties as assigned
• Adheres to all safety procedures
• Communicate with others to perform the job tasks
• Works outdoors in all weather conditions

Job description

Responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts. Can be assigned to Photovoltaic (PV) Crews, PV support crews, PV Installer, QAQC or any other general duties assigned. Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. The following duties are listed both as trade specific and shared responsibilities.
