Meadow Valley Electric is seeking a Solar Journeyman to assist in building solar arrays with speed and accuracy. The role involves general wiring tasks, compliance with NEC and local codes, and traveling to project sites as needed.

The position requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, on pitched or flat roofs, and to stay out of town for multiple projects while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Understanding of NEC and local codes.

Description

Under the supervision of the Solar Field Foreman, the Solar Journeyman is responsible to assist in building solar arrays with speed and accuracy.

Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities

• General wiring knowledge
• Process driven

• Comfortable working on various roofs. (Pitched / Flat)
• Assures compliance with the company and customer safety policies and practices
• Available to travel (stay out of town) for projects. (Working Monday-Thursday, anywhere from 1.5 hours – 4.5 hours from shop)
• Responsible for the safeguards of company equipment, tools and vehicles as well as notification and identifying maintenance needs or issues.
• Complies with company’s core values and appearance to promote a positive company image and culture
• Ensures that good housekeeping practices are maintained
