Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. in Irvine, CA seeks an Accounting Manager to lead joint venture accounting, GAAP reporting, and multi-party financials. You will manage the JV's books, coordinate audits, and ensure accurate financials for tax and reporting cycles.

The role requires deep knowledge of residential solar assets, PPA/servicing arrangements, and collaboration with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Asset Management to scale operations while maintaining GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related area.
• 5–8 years progressive accounting, financial reporting, and finance experience.
• Experience with partnership or joint-venture accounting and capital accounts.
• Experience with ERP systems and databases.
• Ability to meet fixed contractual deadlines under pressure.
• Strong GAAP knowledge for joint ventures and equity-method investments.

Responsibilities

• Own the joint venture's general ledger and books and records per each JV operating agreement.
• Prepare quarterly unaudited and annual audited consolidated financial statements per GAAP and manage the audit.
• Assist in annual operating budget prep and maintain the financial model with variances flagged.
• Oversee cash sweep/treasury between servicing accounts and JV distribution accounts.
• Support Schedule K-1 prep, IRS notices, and partnership tax matters with the tax team.
• Coordinate with tax for sales tax on underlying assets and track tax elections.
