Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a Solar Electrician (Journeyman) to provide hands-on electrical expertise across multiple PV plant sites, performing maintenance, repairs, and on-demand troubleshooting. You will work with PV arrays, inverters, BESS and medium voltage systems, while assisting training for technicians and coordinating with contractors to maintain safe, efficient operations.

This field role requires adherence to safety protocols, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and readiness to work

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical experience with electrical license.
• IL Journeyman license required.
• Certifications in inverter and/or BESS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair solar site systems and equipment.
• Ensure safety and compliance with protocols during field operations.
• Prepare service tickets and reports for site visits and repairs.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians and subcontractors on maintenance tasks.
