Aerotek is seeking experienced Solar Installers for a contract project based in Moab, UT. The role involves installing rooftop and carport solar structures, assembling and wiring PV systems, and performing site prep and troubleshooting outdoors.

You will work with a crew to follow plans, meet safety standards, and complete the project within about 4–8 weeks. The position requires comfort with roof work, ladders, heavy lifting, and use of basic hand tools; an impact driver is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in solar installation, preferably commercial.
• Comfortable working on roofs and climbing ladders.
• Able to perform heavy lifting.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Familiar with basic hand tools; impact driver preferred.
• Previous commercial solar experience; roof work or carpentry helps; travel projects are a plus.

Job Description

We are seeking skilled solar installers for a project located in Moab, UT. This project involves the installation of rooftop and carport solar structures. The Solar Installer will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic systems, working outdoors, and ensuring all installations meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Install racking, modules, wiring, and balance-of-system components for ground-mount solar arrays.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as post drivers, trenchers, and skid steers.
• Follow project plans, layout drawings, and electrical diagrams.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety requirements and company quality standards.
• Assist with site preparation, trenching, conduit installation, and equipment staging.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and support commissioning activities.
• Work collaboratively with crew leads and team members to meet project timelines.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

The role entails working in an outdoor environment where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The expected duration of the project is approximately 4-8 weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
